Welcoming some fun new team members: Alana, AJ, Maia and Basile (left to right)

Over the last month or so we’ve welcomed a few new team members at Your Majesty.

AJ Marshall joins the Knighthood as an Associate Designer

Tell us about yourself

I consider myself a futurist, naturalist and space enthusiast.

What’s your background?

Originally from Toronto, Canada, I graduated in graphic design in 2021. With a focus on UI and motion design, I have had the opportunities to freelance for studios in both Toronto and NYC.

What are you bringing to the team?

I am excited to join a united team who is intrigued to explore, discover and define the future of design and tech. I look forward to exploring cutting edge technologies such as AR and the design systems that shape them and continue pushing digital design to the next frontier.

Go on, tell us something we didn’t know about you? Hobbies and interests?

I have an obsessive passion for outer space and the future of space travel! In addition to outer space and design, I also have passions in musical theatre, photography and sea kayaking.

Squire Maia Ricci joins us as the Office Manager Intern

Tell us about yourself

My name is Maia; I am 21 years old, and I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, with proudly Italian roots. I consider myself an experience seeker. Therefore, a year and a half ago, I decided to move 10,522km from home and start a new adventure at the university of Amsterdam (UvA), where I am studying for a bachelor's in Communication Science.

What are you going to be working on during your time with us?

I am currently working as an office manager intern, where I am in charge of administrative tasks and particularly improving the working experience of everyone here to create a small work family with a wonderfully welcoming environment.

What are you hoping to learn during your time at YM?

Once I finish my bachelor's, I would like to specialize in graphic design and branding. Therefore, I hope that at Your Majesty, I learn from the best about the digital world, creating fantastic design experiences and especially how to work with an active and organic team.

Go on, tell us something we didn’t know about you?

Something my coworkers may not know about me is that I wanted to become a professional gymnast and was part of the national team for seven years (until covid came). But hopefully, one day, I will introduce gymnastics into my life again!

Squire Alana Singh joins us as the Strategy Intern

Tell us about yourself

Hey hey, I’m Alana :) I grew up in Germany from a German mother and an Indian father, but have been living abroad for the past 6 years. I’ve always been passionate about understanding the underlying mechanisms of human cognition and behaviour and have earned my degrees in psychology with a focus on neuroscience, and in human decision science. After working on multiple research projects that explored, for example, the role of the gut-brain axis on decision-making, or how to use virtual reality in clinical psychology, I decided to pursue my passion for research and strategy in a creative environment, which led me to Your Majesty.

What are you going to be working on during your time with us?

I joined the strategy team as an intern, where I am looking forward to combine my knowledge and understanding of the human mind with my creativity to help create brand experiences and brands that bring real value to peoples lives.

What are you hoping to learn during your time at YM?

Well, that list would be pretty extensive but to keep it short and sweet: On the strategy side, literally everything there is from brand to user experience strategy. Besides this, I am super excited to learn more about technology, design and digital experiences.

Go on, tell us something we didn’t know about you?

Puhh, I’m super into music. I used to play the violin and am currently learning music production and DJing.

Squire Basile Lecouturier joins us as the Developer Intern

Tell us about yourself

I am Basile, 22yo French Intern developer at YM. On my way to become a creative developer (that’s one of my goals at least). This internship is supposed to be the last of my school course (I really hope, 5 years is enough). Nice to meet you all.

What are you going to be working on during your time with us?

Coding mostly. I’m here to help give life to great designs from the team. But even more learning a lot and sharing with the team!

What are you hoping to learn during your time at YM?

Sooo many things I hope. In terms of IT, I’d love to learn creative coding and how to make creative, beautiful and immersive web apps that have a real artistic direction. But not only, I’d love to share and learn with everyone in the team and learn about each discipline across the wider YM team.

Go on, tell us something we didn’t know about you?

I’m a lil bit introvert soo, don’t mind if you feel me cold, I probably don’t dare talking to you even if I’d like to (yeah, that’s dumb, I know). I’m a typography based design lover, I like beautiful letters/Glyph 😍
